Ahead of mainland Europe shows this year, and following last year’s, ‘The Zealot Gene’, the band's first album in two decades, Jethro Tull are returning with their 23rd studio album, ‘RökFlöte’, which is set for release on Friday 21st April via InsideOutMusic, of which the first single from the album, ‘Ginnungagap’, is today's stunning animated Video Of The Day, created by Costin Chioreanu. The 12-track record is based on the characters and roles of some of the principle Gods of the old Norse paganism, and at the same time exploring the ‘RökFlöte’ - Rock flute - which Ian Anderson and his band have made iconic. Indeed, the single takes inspiration from the God Ymir, the proto-being, a primeval being, who was born from venom that dripped from the icy rivers called the Élivágar, and lived in the grassless void of Ginnungagap!
