Originally formed in Nashville by guitarists and vocalists Chris and Dexy Valentine, and now joined by drummer Pablo Amador, Magic Wands is a Los Angeles based trio, known for their shimmering and dreamy sound, which incorporates elements of Gothic Post Punk and dark dream Pop, characterised by its heavily-textured guitars, droning synths and ethereal vocals, which are designed to create an otherworldly atmosphere, and earlier this month they released on Metropolis Records their latest seventeen-track album, 'Switch', of which their first single, 'Joy', is also one of today's six of the best 'Sunday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further recent and forthcoming releases from Nebularis, Evidence Of A Struggle, Repentance, Joe Bonamassa and Unknown Decoy.
